Over the weekend we picked up some new lil buddies to add to our backyard flock.
I like to do theme names, so we're going with Neptune, Iris, Asteria and Nyx. The last three are Greek goddesses. Neptune is a Roman god, but also the blue planet. That young lady is going to lay blue colored eggs, so it fits.
As you can see they are adorable, but hard to capture all in one photo.
Yahtzee is getting to know his new sisters while also enjoying their heat lamp. Win win!

We have a few owls in our neighborhood and they often have chats at night when I'm drifting off to sleep.
I was able to grab a shot of this buddy late in the afternoon on our neighbor's roof. It was awesome to finally see one of the late night chatters in the daytime.
They definitely have a "don't F with me" look about them, for sure.

This morning my chicken Bowie let us know there was a little lady in trouble under the tree next door.
The squirrel fell out of the nest in the neighbors yard and was chirping quite a while for help.
With no Mom around and her eyes still closed, I picked her up, made sure she was OK, and took her to @nocowildlifecenter This way I was sure she got good care and was protected from the heat and the neighbors dog.
I was able to get a quick picture of her before I dropped her off 😍
