The sixth edition of The National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) flagship music production, Jazz Fusion, takes place on May 31st, 2026. Themed, "The evolution of Caribbean Jazz," this year the event will take place at NAPA's Courtyard as a premium semi-inclusive experience and features performances from LeAndra, Johann Chuckeree, Dr. Sharda Patasar, Neval Chatelal, Dane Gulston, Charmaine Forde, Christo and Terri Lyons, all performing alongside the National Steel Symphony Orchestra (NSSO) and the National Philharmonic Orchestra (NPO)!
From 4pm - 9pm, patrons will enjoy a blend of jazz, soca, steelpan and orchestral music.
Tickers are available at NAPA box office from 10am-6pm daily and on islandetickets.

Paul Keens-Douglas was awarded the title of Poet Laureate of Trinidad and Tobago by the Circle of Poets of Trinidad and Tobago, in collaboration with the National lLibrary and Information Systems (NALIS) and under the patronage of The Office of the President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in October 2017.
He is a renowned storyteller, poet, author, producer and master of the oral traditions!

In the last month and beyond we've lost some gems who've left this earthly plain. Today a beautiful soul has gone on to meet his maker - Raymond Edwards. This cuts deep. Blessed with a captivating voice and smile Raymond was a light that shun brightly and a joy to work with. I offer condolences to his wife and family and to the families of Hermina Charles, who in my book was one of the most gifted singers that ever lived; Adrian Foster and Fabrice Barker, both talented men of the arts who left us too soon - you are truly missed and let's not forget, Danielle Dieffenthaller... so many stars now light our skies. Still coming to terms with all, but for those you've left behind, I offer comfort and peace and I lift you up in prayer. May our Lord be your strength. š«ššÆšš½
