We’re on the move again ✨ This summer we will officially be calling Madison, Alabama home. This decision was made with so much prayer and thought for our family and our business. Being in the Huntsville area allows us to better serve so many of our North Alabama clients (which honestly, my Instagram stats already show is where so many of you beautiful people come from 😆), while still being an easy drive to our Birmingham, Nashville, and surrounding area weddings. And honestly… if there’s a car ride or plane ticket involved, we are probably still saying yes. ✈️ This move just feels right for this season. A home base where AJ and Riley can be in amazing schools, where our family can grow. And from here? The sky honestly feels like the limit because your girl still has some really big dreams. ✨ I also just want to say thank you. Truly. This is my 10th year in business as a photographer, and I could not be more grateful for every single person who has supported us through all the transitions, moves, wedding days, and creative sessions over the years. Currently editing wedding galleries and thinking about all the wonderful wedding cake I have enjoyed already this year. 😆🍰 I think my personal favorite is strawberry cake with vanilla frosting, but confetti cake is just so fun every single time. Spent the day at Stone Haven and honestly… it was Stone Heaven for me. ☁️✨ When I say I love dreamy pastel light and a bold editorial Vogue moment, this is exactly what I mean. Soft and sweet and then BAM… big personality. This entire shoot felt like my brain turned into a wedding day aesthetic. The artist in me was fully in her element getting to capture the fashion, the textures, the color, the dramatic red bathroom moment mixed with the soft sunset glow overlooking the water. A moment for the groom + all the nighttime fun ✨🥂⚡️ Because yes… we love the dreamy garden party moments and soft romantic light. But we are equally obsessed with the side of a wedding day that feels loud, alive, and completely unfiltered in the best way. The tennis court tux photos. The boys running around before the ceremony. Flash photos on the dance floor. Glow sticks. Cake passed around at sunset. A tractor getaway under string lights. It all felt very “Southern summer wedding but make it editorial.” Curtis and these groom portraits deserved their own moment. The cuteness continues 🥹🎀☁️ Tiny flower girls in little white dresses, a ring bearer stealing the entire show, golden hour bridal party fun, dreamy pink details, and a ceremony space that felt straight out of a storybook… this wedding just kept getting sweeter by the second. There’s just something about Super 8 film that feels different. The softness of it all. The movement. The glow. The imperfect little flickers that somehow make everything feel even more emotional. It feels like the way a beautiful memory lives in your mind years later… dreamy, warm, alive. Honestly, this is what I imagine love would look like if it could physically exist as a texture or feeling on film. One of our favorite parts of what we do is getting to document a wedding day in so many different ways. Kay and Andrew wanted an engagement session that included a romantic look with airy spring blooms, bright light, celebratory cocktails, and a little editorial city energy mixed in. We started the evening with celebratory cocktails before wandering downtown together. The coolest part? 106 Jefferson is also the same hotel where they’ll stay on their wedding night. So this session became more than just engagement photos. It became part of their story. After cocktails and a little downtown romance, we shifted into the garden atmosphere with all the dreamy blooms and bright airy light they were envisioning. I always love the combination of editorial city moments mixed with soft romantic portraits because it tells a fuller story of a couple and this season of life. I love how these photos feel. The way photography lets us stay here… that’s the best part. After all the planning, the design decisions, the layers of creativity from so many artists coming together… the cocktails, the strawberry wedding cake, the draping, the florals, the makeup, the way the space was prepared with so much intention. Every detail built to bring Savannah and Tommie’s vision to life. And then the day happens. It’s felt in real time by the people who love them most. Laughter, movement, those quiet in-between moments. And somehow… we get to hold onto it. To document it. To turn it into something you can step back into. It feels like memory art.
