Artist Spotlight: Rebecca Justilien ✨
“Rebecca Justilien is an artist and storyteller from Miramar, Florida, whose work explores individuality, emotion, and the quiet power of being seen. Rooted in a lifelong love of sketching and painting, her creative journey began in childhood through imagined characters and deeply expressive worlds. In 2020, while living abroad, she discovered digital art and found a new medium through which to merge realism with imagination and emotion with symbolism.
Rebecca creates portrait-based works that invite viewers into the inner worlds of her subjects, often exploring themes of identity, vulnerability, and self-reflection. Her pieces are designed to hold attention long enough for something deeper to unfold, encouraging reflection, empathy, and emotional resonance.
Through striking visuals and layered storytelling, Rebecca aims to create art that feels both personal and universal — work that honors authenticity, celebrates diversity, and reminds viewers that art can serve as both mirror and bridge.”
We’re honored to feature Rebecca’s work in Cartography of Self, a group exhibition exploring identity, memory, visibility, and selfhood through the voices of contemporary artists.

Artist Spotlight: Grigorii Kniagnitskii ✨
“Grigorii Kniagnitskii is an Arlington-based multidisciplinary artist and motion designer. Holding a degree in Physics, he bridges the gap between traditional and digital media by combining classical painting techniques with digital tools like Procreate and After Effects. Stylistically, his work leans toward classical ‘rubber hose’ animation and dark humor.

An Elite Author on VideoHive and two-time AEBattle winner, Grigorii has produced animations for major international brands such as Samsung, Nestlé, and Durex. His art has been showcased globally, appearing on public screens in Athens and Times Square, as well as in physical galleries in London, New York, and Atlanta.

Artist Spotlight: @remycrypt ✨
“Remy Crypt comes from a place of surrealistic dark fantasy where the ruins of old and ancient spirits contrast with a cyberpunk future. The pieces are meant to build a world and tell a story that has yet to be written in words, each piece leaving keys behind to unlock the next part of the mystery through a psychedelic world of cute creatures and eerie landscapes.”
We’re honored to feature Remy’s work in Cartography of Self, a group exhibition exploring identity, memory, visibility, and selfhood through immersive and imaginative artistic worlds.

Artist Spotlight: @amandabrooke.arts ✨
“Amanda Brooke’s art is inspired by the idea of the mind as an ecosystem. From rainforest floors teeming with life to deep-seascapes that are at once serene and monster-haunted, her colorful paintings and illustrations make visible the creatures inhabiting the brain’s biome. What keeps our ecosystem in balance, even amid destruction? What undiscovered species yearn to speak their stories?
In addition to being a visual artist, Amanda is a poet, short fiction writer, and civil rights lawyer.”
We’re excited to feature Amanda’s work in Cartography of Self, a group exhibition exploring identity, memory, visibility, and the emotional landscapes that shape who we are.

Artist Spotlight: Kathleen Regalado ✨
“Kathleen Regalado was born and raised in Virginia in 1999 in a Mexican-Guatemalan household. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from The University of Virginia in 2021. Her work explores identity, memory, and our built environment through a cultural and personal framework. Through her paintings, she travels into the past so we can understand the present and revolutionize our future.
As a first-generation American and first-generation university graduate, Regalado’s experience has been shaped by yearning for cultural and familial belonging. Her work aims to address an introverted experience shaped by a childhood spent in insular self-discovery. Through vivid color and unabashed expressionism, Regalado shows us another way to see our world.”
