Theater als Denkraum, als Brücke, als Widerstand: In dieser Folge spreche ich mit Anna Luca Krassnigg über ihre Arbeit zwischen Regie, Lehre und Festivalleitung. Seit 2012 ist sie Professorin am Max Reinhardt Seminar, seit 2020 leitet sie das „Wortwiege“-Festival in den historischen Kasematten von Wiener Neustadt – ein Ort, an dem Theater, Literatur, Musik, Film und Wissenschaft aufeinandertreffen. Wir sprechen über ihre Vision eines politischen Theaters, über das Spannungsfeld zwischen Klassikern und Gegenwartsdramatik, über Macht, Mythos und das aktuelle Spielzeitmotto „Ungeheuer… ist viel“. Es geht um interdisziplinäres Arbeiten, auch in ihren eigenen Projekten wie Fox On Ice, um Empowerment, welche Rolle Sprache und Kunst in politisch aufgeladenen Zeiten spielen können. Ein Gespräch über Theater als vielschichtiges Kunstverständnis und über die ungeheure Doppelgestalt des Menschen.

A couple weeks ago, we opened our sacred rehearsal process to a small public, who joined as for food and thoughts, did our warm up with us and got a sneak peak. Suddenly, we had political science doctorates talking to sculptors from Creative Cluster, theatre performers to film students. It was amazing to meet all of you and we are looking forward to keeping our community close, interesting and growing, on- and offline <3
