Enjoy the experience
When I arrived at Red Rocks this was the first boulder I came across, and it was taller than what I expected. when I watched someone climb it on YouTube I genuinely thought to myself “ I can do that, that doesn’t look so bad” but once it was in front of me I was very intimidated.
I’ve never climbed a boulder this tall before and I was in an area that was completely foreign to me—so my mind was filled with anxiety, fear, doubts, you name it. I just kept thinking to myself that the second section of this climb seems very exposed. that if I miss place my foot or hand and fall, I’m gonna seriously injure myself.
However, my goal for this trip was to challenge my limits and this was my biggest mental challenge.
I know I’m physically capable, so I just had to tell myself to enjoy this climb and take it one step at a time—and let me tell you, I’ve never felt more accomplished of myself when I grabbed that last hold and yelled “nice” to let my family know I was okay and let out the biggest breath of relief after.
I know this may just be a downclimb for locals and an easy route for highball demons, but this was my proudest moment standing on top of that boulder taking in the challenge I just overcame.
Hopefully I don’t Free Solo El Capitan next

I can’t express how much fulfillment I’ve gained by taking on this journey because of a vision board.
If you told me at the beginning of the year all the things I’ve experienced, I would say you’re lying. But no, exploring the climbing community & making these videos allowed me to make connections with people worldwide & within my city.

thank you for taking me under your wing and giving me so much knowledge about the sport. You guys have welcomed me into this community and shown me how loving & supportive it is, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for the fun experiences we’ve shared during our trips to new gyms, the glen, TMU boulders, RRG, and all the psych every session.

I genuinely think I don’t deserve it because I’m just a kid exploring a dream, but I would receive messages from people across the world telling me how my videos inspired them to get into or try climbing. Each person I had a conversation with left an impact on me. One of them being a little kid from Australia that really left an indelible mark on my heart. So because of you, I’m motivated to keep making these videos and encourage others to give this sport a try.
My goal with the vision board was vague, but at its core it was about trying my hardest in climbing. Looking back now, I think I’ve achieved that.
So overall, I’m just extremely thankful for the moments & friendships I’ve made with everyone this year.
Whether that be through DM, at events, or simply climbing at the gym together. Thank you for sharing a moment with me💫
Now it’s time for me to explore this vision board even further in 2024.
