Pluto Monkey and STREETON join hands again for ‘Lucid / Ko Tumba’ — a two-track project born out of late-night file sharing between New Delhi and London. The result of their latest project is a record rooted in dusty rhythms, fat-bodied melodies and jagged electronics. The duo draws on nu-jazztronica, mood-driven house, and afro-eastern grooves, balancing warmth with a deliberate edge. The first track, ‘Lucid’ opens with a lush yet chugging energy — a blended sound of Korg Minilogue textures and Rhodes-led soul meeting tight, precise drum programming. On the B-side, ‘Ko Tumba’ settles into a smooth, forward-leaning housey groove, layered with afro rhythms and eastern harmonies — built for the perfect slow sunset. These tracks embody the raw taste of “new fusion”, the sound of Creative Bin Records - soulful, uncompromising, and made for those who like their groove with a little more spirit and a lot less gloss.
