My last post was almost 5 months ago on my mom’s one year death anniversary.
I thought I was doing it right - accepting her physical presence not being here anymore, while balancing motherhood, a full time job, and my passion businesses: @mypunjabiroots & @creationsbysh , along with the many other roles of life. Well, safe to say: I wasn’t.
Compartmentalizing your feelings can help in the short term, but definitely not in the long term. So, these last few months have involved a lot of pausing, reflecting, and.. surprisingly, rest. I’ve sat and watched movies with my kiddo. I’ve focused on my physical well being, my mental health, and trying to navigate and balance the fact that it’s okay to not be okay. This is what I’m taking into 2022 - ensuring that I trust in Waheguru, and pick myself back up again and do my best. I know my mom would want that more than anything.
A little Shop update…
I have been fulfilling orders behind the scenes (thank you, immensely for supporting my shop even though I wasn’t active here). I have a couple of custom orders I’m finishing up (you know who you are - hopefully you’ll see an email soon). I know I’m behind on DMs, so please be patient with me as I get myself back into the swing of things. I have new products that I’m excited for. I’ve got a project that I’m crossing my fingers will come to fruition. Most importantly - I have all of you. Thank you for sticking around and allowing me to bring my passion to you, your hearts and your homes.
It’s important to set boundaries, realistic goals, and having some time for just me.. & that’s what I’m learning to create 🙌🏼
