It’s finally open! The Creation Museum is excited to announce our Butterfly House is now open. Guests will meet hundreds of butterflies, and eventually moths, as they stroll a beautiful path surrounded by flowers. All of our butterflies and moths are native to North America, and this year we’ll feature 17 species of butterflies and 3 species of moths. Due to the natural lifespan and care requirements of the animals, the Butterfly House is a seasonal attraction. It will be open select hours from late spring through early fall each year, and it is accessible. Please check the online schedules before visiting or the printed schedules on site for dates and times. Tickets cost $4 per person, and children four years old and younger are free. Come and check out the brand-new Butterfly House, along with our stunning Plants of the Bible Conservatory and our new Creation Zoo. For more information, visit the link in our bio.

Comprised of four separate glass greenhouses, our Plants of the Bible Conservatory is a beautifully curated collection of special plants. Each greenhouse has its own climate. The largest greenhouse, featuring the Judean date palm, changes seasonally, and the subsequent greenhouses move from subtropical, to Mediterranean, and then to arid climates. All houses feature a variety of plants that can be found in that particular climate and region, many of which are mentioned in the Bible.

It’s official: the Butterfly House at the Creation Museum is open for the season! This week, 500 common buckeye and red admiral butterflies were released into the house, and more species will be landing next week! We receive a weekly shipment of butterflies from a butterfly farm, so the native species on display are subject to change based on butterfly availability. We look forward to seeing you this season!

People often wonder how the land animals that left Noah’s ark could have reached distant locations, particularly those places that are isolated from Asia, Europe, and Africa. This room features plausible options that are consistent with Scripture and science. During the ice age resulting from the flood, land bridges would have connected most places. Massive, state-sized vegetation mats also could have carried animals to distant lands. In addition to reaching various locations, the descendants of the animal kinds on the ark adapted to their new environments. New species developed within the various kinds, helping the creatures thrive in their new surroundings. The changes they underwent are not evidence of evolution; they are the opposite of evolution since they result in variation within kinds and not one kind evolving into a different kind.

It’s finally open! We’re thrilled to announce our brand-new Creation Museum restaurant, Sprig & Stone, is finally open! Our design and site development teams have done a phenomenal job planning and building this beautiful new space. This new dining area will be a huge help in serving the needs of our guests as the busy summer season approaches. Sprig & Stone is four times bigger than our previous restaurant, Noah’s Café, so it will really enhance guest experience (and we’re making exciting plans for the old Noah’s Café space too). Thank you to our generous supporters who gave to make this much-needed new restaurant a reality. Enjoy these photos and come and visit soon. Make your plans at CreationMuseum.org.

Our mob of wallabies at the @creationmuseumzoo is loving spring and the daily browse it brings! In their native range of Australia and Tasmania, wallabies are often found in brushy areas munching on leaves and tender branches. This 'browse' helps clean and strengthen their teeth and gums, which is vital for their overall health. From spring through fall, they receive fresh branches and leaves daily in addition to the grass in their habitat. To ensure they have plenty to eat during the winter, keepers freeze browse during the growing season. We are also grateful for our grounds team, who provide us with animal-safe browse collected during their maintenance of the botanical gardens at the Creation Museum! By feeding out invasive Callery pear, we're helping our native ecosystem thrive while giving our wallabies a crunchy, healthy snack. It’s a win for native plants and the mob!
