Lost in Lanna: A Chiang Mai camping vlog/music video
My trip to Chiang Mai was arguably the most magical time of 2025, and it was made extra special with @lucymariediamond hosting and taking me to this wonderful little campsite in the mountainous forests spanning the area. This place is beautiful, and so are the people; and it had my inner child in absolute delight because of the number of dogs I befriended and played with. Deeply delighted to have visited my favourite country again and have found new friends here.

Postcards from Mumbai: a videoseries capturing different little microcosms and the iconic landmarks of a city and a home that once was, but never completely.
1. Taj Hotel and Gateway of India as glimpsed from the sea
2. A local cricket team after winning their match in Oval Maidan
3. One of my favourite haunts in the city: Mount Mary, one week before Christmas
4. The AC local (less harrowing as compared to the non-AC one, I will have to admit)
5. The Golden Man of Mumbai: @goldystatue_ at Bandstand
6. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in its evening glory
7. Customary Bandra Worli Sea Link video
8. Fans getting clicked outside the home of @iamsrk King Khan, Mannat at Land’s End
9. Arabian Sea's gehraaiyaan as felt from the Mumbai ferries
10. More vibes at the Queen’s Necklace, Marine Drive. Thank you to @zubisoux for helping me out with this one. 😉
11. Stopped by Leopold Cafe for some cold coffee
12. Had to treat myself to a paan after a rather heavy desi dinner as is customary
Some of these clips are long takes, some edited with music; I have tried to add actual relevant postal stamps to these little postcards to make it feel like a little window to this strange city of dreams.

INT. GELATO PARLOUR – ATHENS – A SUNNY JULY AFTERNOON
The sun filters through the windowpanes, casting warm light on the pastel interiors of a cozy gelato shop tucked into a side street of Athens.
CHRISTIAN and NIKITA sit across from each other at a small table, both with cups piled high with gelato — scoops of orange pie, limoncello sorbet, strawberry sorbet, Belgian chocolate with orange peel, ekmek, and bitter chocolate. Two cups of iced chocolate spiked with espresso complete this dream breakfast of 5 year olds.
Nikita eats carefully, small spoonfuls at a time, the aftermath of an emergency morning wisdom tooth surgery still fresh on her face. There’s a puffiness to her cheek, but she’s smiling.
A deeply amused Christian spoons a bite of gelato, phone held in one hand, recording a WhatsApp voice note recounting the events at the dentist's to Gautami who has been virtually present through the events of the morning.
| Shoutout to Dr George A Vilos, I ended up having fun at what's supposed to be a usually dreary process |
India has the greatest tradition of hospitality, centred around the concept of "atithi devo bhava" (translated from Sanskrit: the guest is god). I was on one of the toughest shoot schedules of my life last year, shooting commercial content for some of India's best resorts and I chanced upon this lovely Rajasthani lady with a chulha (earthern stove) in a corner of the dinner courtyard of a premier hotel in Jaipur. There were plenty of dinner options available, and I could order whatever cuisine I wanted, but I chose to sit by Pushpa's side, talking to her about her life in Rajasthan, her many kids, and how I terribly missed ghar ka khaana (home cooked food) because I had been away from home for so long. Pushpa's warmth and her outstanding bajre (millet) ki rotis with ghee, chilli garlic achaar (pickle) and gud (jaggery) simply melted me and the simplicity of that evening is a wonderful unexpected yet warm memory I will always cherish.
This photo of mine got featured at the big screens in @alserkalavenue this week during their #whatthefoodfestival as part of @gulfphotoplus open photography call regarding all things food, community and culture. Many many thanks to @gautamireddy for not only being an amazing all round friend and human being but also for pushing me to do better creatively, submit this photograph in and share a small piece of me with the rest of the world.
