🌸🤠 What a night at CREATE! 💃🍻 Our Springtime Hoedown brought the Great Hall to life with energy, music, and a whole lot of dancing! A huge thank you to DAM Country for delivering an incredible night of live country rock and Americana favorites—three fantastic sets that kept the crowd moving all evening long. 🎶🔥 Between sets, our amazing volunteer instructors helped turn the floor into a full-on dance party, leading line dance tutorials that welcomed everyone—from first-timers to seasoned pros. It was so great to see so many people jump in, learn something new, and just have fun together. 🕺💃 From the first song to the last dance, the room was filled with great vibes, community spirit, and plenty of boot-stompin’ moments. Thank you to everyone who came out, grabbed a drink from the CREATE Bar, and made the night so special. We can’t wait to do it again! 🤠✨

The Ton is abuzz with the most delightful whisperings, and it is my distinct honor to share them with you first. It appears that CREATE Portage County has seen fit to host a gathering of the highest order—a "Spring Soirée" that promises to kick off the social season. Should you wish to secure your place among the diamonds of the first water, mark your calendars for Saturday, May the 16th, from the hours of six to nine in the evening. The evening shall commence with a most charming display of outdoor revelry, where the grass is green and the reputations are fragile. Guests are invited to partake in a spirited round of croquet and various outdoor amusements, providing the perfect theater for flirtation or, for the more ambitious among us, a chance to soundly defeat one’s rivals. As the mallets swing and the shadows lengthen, a proper tea service shall be poured in the garden. As the evening air turns cool, the doors to the Great Hall shall be flung open, beckoning the company inside for a shift in atmosphere. Under the glow of the chandeliers, a parade of delicate morsels and refreshing spirits (cash bar) shall be served. It is here, amidst the golden light and polished stone, that the assembly shall retire for the most essential of pursuits: the dance. For those who find their feet a bit wayward, fear not, as expert dancing lessons shall be provided to ensure every lady and gentleman may navigate the floor with the grace of a monarch. Whether you are seeking a match or merely a momentary thrill, the music shall carry us through the night in a whirl of silk, lace, and scandal. Of course, a soiree of such magnificence demands that its guests look the part. It is highly encouraged that the company arrives in their finest attire. Whether you choose to don your most exquisite gown, your sharpest cravat, or a costume of inspired historical splendor, do remember: one’s plumage is often the first thing I notice. There is no such thing as being "overdressed" when one intends to be the incomparable of the evening.
