This guy is growing up too fast. Which is one of the reasons this sleeping portrait of him is so meaningful to me. Remington sleeping in my arms is something I always want to remember, as I enjoy watching him grow.
This year has been a time of creation. Both for me (baby due in the fall), and my business. I decided to focus on creating new pieces and practicing my art instead of keeping up with social media. But today I couldnāt not post because it was my first market!! It was a wonderful event. And starting now Iāll start posting here when I create new pieces and be updating my website every two months. :)
Getting ready to create my word of the year embroidery. This year the theme of hope came to mind, and I picked the word expect or expectation. Iām going to stand in expectation of good things God is going to do this year, in my life in my family in my community and in the world. This puts me in a place of hope even when things are sad or hard or overwhelming. Iām going to remember to except the goodness of God and look for that. If you have a word for this year Iād love to read it! And if youād like me to create an embroidery of your word to serve as a beautiful reminder in your home or office, contact me and we can design something together. :)
Sometimes I use my art as a way to pray. This year has called for lots of moments with God and I am so thankful we can use art as a way to grow closer with him.
Hereās a little look into my process. Lots of ideas start as sketches, then I clean them up on my iPad, then I pick colors, and draw the final design on the fabric. This process is spilt up into small units of time when I get to sneak away from my kiddos and dive into my art.
Give me your best tips on getting the most out of your creative time.
Happy Friday!! I pray each of you go into your weekend filled with JOY. This is a picture of me filled with joy not only because I learned how to use the self timer on my camera, but because of this beautiful sign for my shop. I guess I have to start selling my work in person now so I can use this sign.ā
Anyone want a custom business logo embroidery to hang up in your store as we go into the holiday gift buying season?!

Happy Tuesday everyone. Here are three things I am grateful for today.
1) The small joys that I look for throughout my day. 2) We are beginning fall/winter which means I get to see family soon. 3)This world is so beautiful and every time you travel you see new beauty.
Comment what you are grateful for and use this at a moment of peace in your busy day.
This beautiful couple got married over the weekend and how special are these family portraits they got their parents?! Iāve done custom portraits for engagements, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, and Motherās Day. I heard one time that the portrait made the recipient cry. :) Isnāt that what we all want when we give meaningful gifts?
