They were a little nervous about the rain…
but ended up laughing through it, running around with umbrellas, and just fully leaning into the day.
My favorite part?
Every time C ran through the rain she kept yelling, “I’m a runaway bride!” and it was freaking hilarious.
At one point I was literally right there with them, running alongside them and shooting at the same time.
And that’s always how it goes.
The “imperfect” weather days?
They end up being the ones you remember the most.
We bounced between spots, hid in the car with the heater blasting, and took warming breaks so they weren’t freezing (because let’s be real… Tahoe is COLD, especially if you’re coming from a warmer state).
By the time we got to Emerald Bay, it was trying to snow on us… and somehow it just made everything feel even more unreal.
The best elopements aren’t about perfect conditions.
They’re the ones where it just feels like you’re hanging out with your person… having the best day together.
And this time… they had a husband & wife photo team.
Our photos are all mixed in together, can you tell who shot what? 👀
You probably can’t… and that’s the point.
There shouldn’t be an obvious difference.
Same vision, same energy, same way of documenting the day as it actually felt.
