After more than a year of development, Shrimpy is finally here.
Shrimpy is an experimental voltage-controlled multimode filter born from long sessions of circuit experimentation, listening, tweaking, breaking rules and starting over again. The prototype filters were tested by me in several live performances on underground stages of Kyiv. Some were given to my friends in exchange for honest feedback. This is not a polite or overly smooth filter. It’s cheeky, dry, slightly aggressive, and sometimes unpredictable — by design.
At its core, Shrimpy is about character. It can gently shape your sound, but it truly comes alive when pushed: subtle roar, unstable edges, and moments where the circuit feels almost alive. Small movements in CV can lead to surprising results, making it especially rewarding for experimental patches, textures, and evolving sounds.
Designed for Eurorack, Shrimpy invites exploration rather than precision. It doesn’t aim to be perfect — it aims to be memorable.
This module took time because it needed it.
And now Shrimpy is officially released.

In jam spontaneously I designed to make some video demo with two Favourite Avocado Toast and TuringMachine (thanks @systems.are.go for it). One F.A.T. act as an oscillator (at full resonance settings) and other as a filter. In filter section I'm using F.A.T. internal overdrive and modulator for maximum harmonically rich sound, and after adding audio-rate modulation from TuringMachine it goes glitchy and nasty😈 But I love it!
For rhythmic modulations I used two DANCE LFOs and DIVIDER. DANCE can be synchronized and modulated, so I decided to use it. Also DIVIDER can provide interesting divisions (in this case I use 3, 5 and 8). This "three-modules" complex modulation source rhythmically change TuringMachine CV, both F.A.T. cutoff CV and resonance CV of last F.A.T. Uhhh... And this is just description of patch of lead (central) voice 😁
For bass drone and acid filter sweeps I use simplest settings. And of course simple kick and snare drums from PC.

Сьогодні сталися перші студійні тести Crazy Chicken Stereo Distortion від @crazy_chicken_mod
Ми гнали з семплера мій мікс 303 сінта та акустичної ударки. Останні місяці я більше слухаю, ніж пишу музло. А цей діст дав ковток бажання знов єбашити саунд!
Бо тут керована середина двох точок на вибір, гейн двох типів (починається відео з легкого типу дісту, яке ще схоже на перегруз, а от другий тип - це mass destruction tool для пошановувачів зла!), доволі вражаючий запас гейну, компесація басів, дуже лютий розгон верхів (який я на відео дещо обрізав, шоб ви не лякалися), і загадковий потц asymmetry- який ніби стерео розширює, ніби робить якусь максимізацію - коротше, шось явно психоакустичне). Це прибор без гнізд модуляції - він зроблений, шоб його мацати. (власне те, для чого залізо і купляєця).
В планах тепер дослідити його на каналі посилу, і якшо це дасть бажане- то застосую цей підхід на наступних своїх брудних dj-сетах. По суті, для мене це виглядає, як канал xone92 з лютим дістом і печивками. А далі спробуємо його в модулярному ящику!

22-го березня знов збираємо ACID VCF від @konstantin.poveda aka @crazy_chicken_mod . Це аналоговий low pass VCF з досить екзотичним зрізом 12db/oct та двома входами керування CV cutoff.
Resonance має 2 режими: перший більш мякий «liquid» резонанс, a другий - набагато більш різкий резонанс з distortion. Перемикач дозволяє обрати режим резонансу за своїм смаком.
Під час воркшопу розглянемо теоретичні основи схемотехніки low pass фільтрів, зробимо аналіз схеми цього фільтру, здійснимо аналіз сигналів на осцилографі, та власне будемо паяти, збирати та калібрувати власні модулі.

Good news everybody, ми повертаємось до воркшопів, в ході яких зберемо декілька цікавих модулів та дослідимо цікаві DIY-кластери на карті Києва.

Like the other modules, this one was created at my demand.
I wanted a small and functional envelope generator that would be easy to adjust and would have additional features that I wanted. I guess I couldn't reinvent the wheel again, and modules with this functionality already exist, but this one turned out to be the most convenient in ergonomics and size with maximum functionality, I think.
So, let's get down to business:
- Decay and Release knobs are combined for ergonomics,
Sustain knob avaible to ensure sufficient control of ADSR-envelope.
- has a Looping mode to convert module to LFO with Attack and Decay control.
- module has 1 more copy of the output in addition to the main output (i.e., no additional multiplier is required). Or this copy of the output can be inverted (no need for an additional inverter/attenuverter). These features make the module more versatile for complex patches.
