A couple years ago, I did a really smart thing with my money and dumped it all into building a recording studio. 🙃 At the time, I barely knew what I was doing — honestly, I still don’t.
Even still, I’m really proud of the work that’s come out of those rooms. Most of it has been experimentation with
@tzarina.official  — producing became a passion I didn’t even know I had. Learning how to make things hit harder emotionally, figuring out how to stop the overthink on every decision and trust instinct a little more every time. It finally feels like some of it is starting to click.

@jakenavarr0 said “let’s try this anyway” ended up shaping what these new songs became. The material feels more focused, more intentional, heavier in the right ways, but also more honest. Less trying to sound like what we thought we should be, more leaning into what actually feels natural for us.
Anyway, this is my very long-winded way of saying I built a recording studio to write some songs when I could have just hired a professional. Go listen to “Groundhog Season.”
