The Moon Series. A new collaborative furniture series by Craft of Both x MADE. A sculptural dialogue of timber and fabric. An homage to the drama and robustness of an iconic archetype - the Chinese Paper Fan. Comprised of two discrete pieces [Moon Chair and Moon Bench] the Moon Series employs meticulous timber craft to establish a precise, rhythmic geometry - a curvilinear framework onto which bespoke fan modules may be attached and unfolded in any position. Inviting creative exploration and play - the Moon Series’ function, texture, colour and silhouette may be transformed at will by each user - creating a dynamic inhabitable landscape in constant motion and redefinition. FEATHER-STEP A choreography of fans Our bespoke spatial installation for the Hong Kong Open Dance Championship 2024: reimagining the rhythm and directionality of ballroom dance as a complex cascade of interlocking paper fans that drift, twist, and turn. Beginning as a vibrant backdrop of color and texture, the installation invites guests deeper. Beyond the pleats and folds, an exclusive, immersive lounge is revealed - an elegant space enveloped by movement and spirit that comes alive in the night.
