Yesterday, Rob and Sal attended Ceramic Art London, where Craft In Focus was invited to present the award for Best Newcomer.
We were delighted to support the award, as championing and encouraging new makers has always been at the heart of what we do. Presenting the award on our behalf was Sherry Moran, curator of the ceramics section at Art in Action for 26 years and now closely involved with our Celebrating Ceramics Festival at Waterperry Gardens
Congratulations to the winner of the award, Olga Siruk, whose hand-built sculptures beautifully combine archaic myth with contemporary form.
During our visit, it was wonderful to catch up with exhibitors old and new, including Helen Rondell and Sally MacDonell (who will be exhibiting with us at RHS Garden Wisley this November). Also Alexandra Breeze, Diane Griffin, Harriet Caslin, Paul James and Tony Laverick, all of whom will be exhibiting with us at Waterperry Gardens from 10–12 July. It was lovely also to bump into Rich Miller Ceramics who has previously visited our event.
We were also delighted to see our advert featured in the show catalogue and look forward to working with Ceramic Review magazine at Celebrating Ceramics this July.
We look forward to seeing you at Waterperry Gardens from 10-12 July. Early bird tickets are on sale now! (link in bio)

A little reflection after returning from Craft in Focus Wisley.
It’s always interesting seeing which pieces people connect with most — this year our convertible designs, nesting tables and phone holders were clear favourites.
The Pilosa table also sparked so many wonderful conversations throughout the show.
We’ve come back inspired, with new ideas already developing in the workshop.
Thank you to everyone who visited our stand.

One of my favourite parts of doing craft fairs is getting to meet the people behind every purchase. 🤗
I love chatting about my work, sharing the creative process behind each piece and learning what catches someone’s eye. There’s something really special I’ll about connecting in person and seeing people discover something they genuinely love.
So thank you to everyone who has come to my @suzie_jasper stand so far at the @craftinfocus Craft and Design Fair at @rhswisley . Today is the last day, and I look forward to meeting the visitors who come along this Bank Holiday Monday!! 😀🌼❤️ xx

Silversmith, Karina Gill holds a Bachelor’s degree in Three Dimensional Design from the Surrey Institute of Art and Design and is now a designer and maker of silverware and jewellery. Her work includes unique etched metal bowls, jewellery, spoons and sculptural pieces and captures the transformation of hard metal into brilliant organic forms that mirror the geometry of nature. She has established a unique voice through the crafting of exquisite contemporary pieces that demonstrate her characteristic experimental approach.
You can find her exhibiting today (Bank Holiday Monday) at RHS Garden Wisley in the Festival of Silver Marquee. She’s also exhibiting at our next event taking place at Waterperry Gardens from 10-12 July.
