6ARC 15.1 inch NSW Recce from @craddockprecision
For several years I switched back and forth between various 5.56 lengths from 12.5 to 20 inches and none of them really had me that captivated except for the 12.5 because the size vs capability and the majority of my training at that time.
As time went on, the only thing I started using 556 for was Run N Gun competitions, even then most around here don’t extend beyond 300 or so yards (except for our recent match the @reconrng which went to 650)
Picking up the 6arc made me appreciate a small frame gasser again after being spoiled by the capability of a bolt gun and even a large frame gasser.
With bolt guns it’s easy to build linear relationships with your data out to 700-800 yards with fairly capable consistency. Large frame guns easily out to 500-600 depending on the barrel length and caliber.
The 6ARC though brings the smoothness of a 556 gasser (if you have it built right) with the wind deflection of a M118LR and similar ballistics out to 550, even on a 15.1 inch barrel compared to a 20 inch barrel for a 308. The 15.1 6arc (slide 3) is pushing at 2537fps and the 308 20inch pushing 2600 fps (slide 4). DA is 681, assuming 10 mph winds 90 degrees.
Though a 6.5cm gasser would largely out perform either of these, the 6ARC allows me to split the difference for now and focus on having a very capable and distinct bolt gun setup while also giving me the convenience of a small frame and the capabilities of a large frame in one SBR.
If you’re looking to love small frame gassers again in the world of precision shooting, give 6ARC a chance.

3:30 ejection, proper gas mitigation, and smiles is all we know... Suppressed, unsuppressed, semi-auto or fun-mode, doesn't matter when you are running our PFR-15 CQB! There is a reason @craddockprecision is the best in the business when it comes to barrels! Had a blast with @redactedarmsllc (their products instantly makes any day at the range more fun!), @riflepanties , and the crew getting some range therapy in!

Congrats to Tyler Hunter for winning the barrel by taking the run-and-gun stage in dominant fashion. Speed, accuracy, and decision-making under stress—exactly what the stage was built to test.
That kind of performance is textbook Patrol Designated Marksman work: moving, thinking, and delivering precise hits when it counts.
Well earned. Well shot.

Run and gun stage win (300 yard movers and hanging steel with little modified el prez action) at the zero theory scoped carbine match today. Winner of this stage was awarded with an @craddockprecision 10.5” barrel that I am pretty stoked to have taken home. Gonna build something pretty spicy with it for the next scoped carbine match.
Thank you @zerotheory_llc for a fun match, can’t wait for the next one. Been working hard to make my biggest weakness a strength. Precision work is finally starting to come along this off season.
Huge thanks to Craddock Precision for their support of the Scoped Carbine Match. Their commitment to precision, consistency, and shooters who actually put rounds downrange doesn’t go unnoticed.
If you’re serious about accuracy and performance, do yourself a favor and check them out when you get the chance.
We appreciate the support—more to come.

Another 700 yd warm up with the ARC12 Mod 1000. The @hornadymfg 103gr ELD-X Precision Hunter coming out of the @craddockprecision 18” RTR 6ARC mk12 barrel hits with authority! And of course we have the @superlativearms adj. gas block and @tbac_suppressors Dominus to keep everything running smooth and quiet (SPIRO coming soon).
