A super nerd experiment I tried a few years back led to this amazing alternate version of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Turn down the saturation on your TV. Bump the contrast a bit. Choose the Japanese language track with English subtitles on Disney+. And you’ve got the best “Space Kurosawa” movie ever made. And as a side effect, a few improved performances. Give it a shot. Trust me.
Finally got to an important chapter that’s been rattling around my head for a couple of years. It sometimes takes me a great deal of effort to make concrete (and more importantly — concise) ideas and emotions that have been bopping around my brain all willy nilly. And since I value genuineness of heroes so much, I walk a careful line that sometimes crosses too far into “corny.” Hoping this chapter’s travel from imaginary to tangible is a successful one. 🤞
Hit a big milestone I was aiming for this week. Now just 30,000 more words to go. Averaging over 1,000 per day so if I can keep this pace, only one more month to a finished first draft. 🤞
