Our @cpp_arc students are working on something truly special: a detailed model of our campus that will soon greet visitors as they visit the Welcome Center.
Seeing how they bring this to life with such creativity, precision and care through the guidance of Professor Robert Alexander is a powerful reminder of what makes @calpolypomona so distinctive. This is become by doing, where ideas take shape in real, tangible ways!
I can’t wait for our community to see the finished piece later this month and experience this beautiful introduction to our campus for themselves. Keep up the great work! 🐎

Design, collaboration, and a little bit of cluck 🐔✨
Last Thursday, students at the Lyle Center presented their proposals for a rehab of the chicken coop, sharing detailed drawings, renderings, and hand-built models that re-imagine a functional and sustainable home for our hens. From site plans to 3D studies, each team showcased thoughtful design solutions rooted in environmental responsibility and hands-on learning.
Students in the ARC 4990 course, taught by Juintow Lin, will truly learn by doing this spring semester with this hands-on experience by rehabilitating our chicken coop.
“The main goal is to give the students design build experience… taking into consideration chicken needs, Lyle Center mission, existing conditions, etc. I hope students will enjoy getting out of the classroom and seeing the fruits of their labor.” — Juintow Lin
