“You’ll believe this band can fly” – Songlines Magazine
ADG7 (Ak Dan Gwang Chil) returns to ALICE during this summer’s Copenhagen Jazz Festival — and we dare promise a reunion that shimmers with both sheer joy of playing and pure, infectious euphoria. With roots deeply embedded in Korean folklore and a gaze set on effervescent pop, the nine-member ensemble unites shamanistic traditions with modern K-pop aesthetics in a vibrant, captivating show that feels as uplifting as it is mesmerizing.
When ADG7 took over ALICE in 2024, they left a packed venue in ecstasy — singing, dancing, and completely absorbed in their warmth, humor, and virtuosic interplay. Now they’re back, armed with instruments such as the daegeum and ajaeng, powerful vocal harmonies, and charming choreography that elevate the spiritual energy of gut and minyo into a contemporary, celebratory setting. We look forward to another unforgettable evening as ADG7 once again transforms ALICE into a bubbling, boundary-breaking community.
The concert is part of Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2026, which takes place from July 3 to July 12 across more than 120 venues throughout the capital. See the full program at www.jazz.dk.

French-Senegalese singer anaiis is the latest headliner at Cph Jazz Festival 2026 ✨
anaiis (FR)
July 7, Studie 2
/ DR Koncerthuset
anaiis is an exciting new name on the international music scene who presents her very own forward-thinking mix of genres inspired by thinkers and artists such as Nina Simone, James Baldwin and Alice Walker.
Since childhood, anaiis has been shaped by an international outlook, having grown up in Toulouse, Dakar, Oakland, New York, Dublin and her current hometown of London. This shows up in her music, which explores a curious and melodious universe across genre- and national borders from deep dub to sprawling funk with her voice as the centerpiece. Her lyrics revolve around emotions, change and freedom – both from the oppressive systems of the outside world and from the wars we fight with ourselves.
05.07.26_ Anja Jacobsen: Variations 🫧
The Danish drummer opens the series of Jazz Festival concerts at ALICE with a rare and experimental concert experience.
Rhythmic displacements, crisp guitar textures, and floating vocal fragments merge as the influential drummer Anja Jacobsen presents her new work Variations at ALICE during the Copenhagen Jazz Festival in July. Positioned at the center of the room, she—together with Lars Bech Pilgaard, Anders Bach, and a special guest—invites the audience into an intense, physical listening experience where the boundary between stage and audience dissolves.
Anja Jacobsen works in the tension field between the intuitive and the experimental through her distinctive compositional method and visual “diamond rhythms.” The result is music in constant motion—repetitions that shift and re-emerge, and a sound that is both precise and fluid. We are delighted to welcome her back when she performs at ALICE in July as part of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
The concert is part of Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2026, which takes place from July 3 to July 12 across more than 120 venues throughout the capital. See the full program at www.jazz.dk.

Moya Brennan, beloved first lady of Celtic music, has passed at the age of 73 after a short illness.
Brennan was the angelic voice of the legendary Irish folk group Clannad which she co-founded with her siblings and uncles in 1970. Beginning as an acoustic folk group mainly performing rearranged traditional Irish songs in Irish, they expanded their sound with original songs in English, vocal harmonies, electronic keyboards, and elements of rock, Celtic, new age, smooth jazz, and Gregorian chant.
Clannad went on to become one of Ireland’s most successful bands on the international stage. Their breakthrough folk song, "Theme from Harry’s Game", reached number 5 in the UK in November 1982 and became the first Irish-language song to reach the UK Top 10. Clannad went on to sell more than 15 million records worldwide.
In 2022, after a career spanning more than 50 years, Brennan was conferred with an honorary doctorate in Philosophy from Dublin City University. Her world-famous siblings include singer and composer Enya, as well as fellow Clannad bandmates Ciarán and Pól.
