This should read HORMAN’S but anyway, this is my proudest achievement of 2022. I was really in a pickle there, maybe even a bit of a crunch, but I got myself out of there and it was dill-icious. Long live pickles!
I drew The Zuck (as my producer Mary called him) quite a few times during my tenure at Open Source. This was one of my two favorite Zucky illustrations, done in fall 2019. I think Bernie and Liz Warren were trying to introduce legislation to curtail his powers then but I don’t remember. It feels like eons ago!

A lot of my paintings are up on Saatchi Art! Including new paintings I made between December and March for the London edition of @theotherartfair . This one is part of my “public bathroom” series documenting absolute gems I’ve seen around the world in, well, public bathrooms. As a writer and illustrator, I often find the closest café while travelling and set up shop there for the day. Here’s “SANITY” anti-odor spray, spotted in Tokyo in 2018, painted in 2019 small-scale (now on a wall in London) and in 2025 larger-scale.
Still one of the best panels I’ve ever attended and made live paintings of. Thank you, Jonny Sun, Heben Nigatu, and Kishonna Gray for giving me years’ worth of food-for-thought. If you like these paintings, I have prints available (I think Kishonna has one up!). And thanks, MIT, for hosting the Online Humor lecture series which was fascinating.
