After praying and thinking it over I am 100% COMMITED Mars Hill University!!! I first want to thank God and the gift he has given me, allowing me to compete and perform at such a high level. Next I want to think Coach Shelton and Coach Clarke for trusting and believing in me. Next I want to thank @ajgilbert38 and @coach_adams21 for working with me over the past few years and helping me get to this point. Lastly I want to thank my family and everyone thats been along the journey for their support throughout this whole time. Go Lions!!!!

PR’d again today with a 58’ throw in shot put, setting another school record. I also came away with 1st place in shot put and 6th place in discus.
Thankful that this throw allowed me to reach the All-American standard in boys high school shot put.
Thank you Dobyns-Bennett High School for hosting a wonderful and very memorable meet. And thank you, Jacob, for the inspiration.

I am so blessed to have placed 1st in shot put and 1st in discus this past Wednesday at the North Carolina Northwestern 6A/7A Conference Championship meet at Alexander Central!!!!

It is a blessing to be a conference champion.
I could not have done it without my buddy @zakkarybarnetthrows , although he almost gave me a heart attack.
It was also a real honor and pleasure to come away with 1st place for the WHS men’s field and track team!!!

NEW SCHOOL RECORD AND PR!!!
This one was especially memorable for me. I PR’d in shot put with a throw of 55’ 5”, setting a new personal best and the new WHS outdoor shot put school record. I came in 2nd place in shot put and 6th place in discus.
Thank you Science Hill High School for putting on a phenomenal meet this weekend at the Trojan Timing Classic. It is always a great meet.

Thank you Freedom High School for hosting a wonderful conference meet a few weeks ago. Very blessed to have had the opportunity to compete.
I was able to PR in shot put with a throw of 53’ 3”, setting the school record again. I came away with 1st place in shot put and 1st place in discus with a throw of 146’ 1”.

Had a great time at the Frank Carver Invitational a few weeks ago.
Came in 1st place in shot put with a throw of 51’ 1”. I also threw discus, finishing 5th with a throw of 141’ 1”.
Overall, it was a great weekend and I enjoyed meeting a lot of new people.

New shot put PR of 53’1” at the Appalachian State High School Invitational and I’m beyond grateful to have also broken the school record! So blessed to see all the hard work pay off.
Had an awesome time competing with so many great throwers and really appreciate all the motivation and support from everyone out there.
Also super proud of our men’s team for coming in 1st place!!!

Well for this “non-thrower,” I had some pretty good throws at the Appalachian State High School Invitational.
PR in discus at 153’ 7”, a 30-foot improvement. Came in 2nd place. I had a great time competing with a lot of talented throwers who motivated me ( @_chase_throws_ ) and pushed me to be better.
Coming for that school record… only 2 feet away.
