The Unsheltered installation is our response to the quiet epidemic of LGBTQ+ youth homelessness. Every bed placed across Milwaukee represents a young person whose life has been destabilized simply for being who they are.
These works don’t just reflect art — they reflect lives. They challenge viewers to see the unseen. And they turn passive empathy into meaningful action.
With Courage House, our C2 Apartments, and wraparound services, we help youth move from surviving to thriving. But we can’t do this alone.
We’re grateful to @baderrutter and @miadcollege for helping bring these stories to life — and to the city for standing with us.

May is Foster Care Awareness Month. All month, we'll be continuing on our 2026 goal to amplify the voices, stories, and data on individuals in foster care.
Affirming spaces aren't just a want; they are lifesaving measures that create community and space for LGBTQ+ youth to thrive. No one can change the past, but we can all work towards a world in which all foster care youth are given safe, positive, and affirming environments. When we all come together to strengthen the foundations of our children's lives, we work to build a safer, more inclusive, and equitable future.

Run Madtown is introducing a new one-mile race this year that celebrates community, inclusion, and the life of a beloved supporter of the event. The run will honor Rudy, a Run Madtown participant and supporter of the Wisconsin running community.
Rudy was a light in the running community as well as a strong advocate for equality. Rudy's Rainbow Mile also pays tribute to Rudy's connection to the event through his spouse, T.J. Rosbeck-Ledesma AKA Harmony Breeze, who will serve as the event's finish line announcer for Run Madtown.
This touching celebration of Rudy's life will also support Courage+. Rudy and T.J. have been vocal supporters of our mission for years, and we are honored to be a part of this day.
