I am so excited to show you my brand new creation, Uta. She was a huge challenge as I created the headsets, fought gravity, and dealt with prototypes breaking. She turned out lovely. Yes, the headset actually lights up! Headsets are detachable as are the back hair loops. Pigtails are attached to the headset.

This Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Link cosplay stopped us in our tracks… and then we found out the wig alone took 35 hours to make 😳
Every strand was glued down by hand and yes, it’s completely solid. We met this incredibly talented cosplayer @coscreationstudio at Anime Milwaukee, where craftsmanship like this is on full display. From custom wigs to handmade costumes, the level of detail at anime conventions keeps getting more impressive every year.
And here’s something most people don’t realize… if your wig doesn’t fit your head properly, you’ll end up with a headache before the day is even over.

This is a 3D printed PETG filament core wrapped in thin black felt. After I hot glued everything in place it's time for hair !
Start with the most difficult section first, in this example it is the top and bottom. Then add a horizontal piece of hair. That way the shape is broken down into bite sized pieces.
It is important to organize your work before you start it. That way you can iron out your thought process on where to start and what the next steps are.
In the next video I shall be showing you how to glue the hair down section by section.

She is all completed ! Though the wig is simple, it did take some planning to organize the bangs on how I wanted them to look. In the anime they are quite flat and lifeless, so I opted in for more of a round and defined look.
Umaru turned out wonderful! Very comfortable to wear too.
