For some of our projects we developed the visual identity and, for some, the naming, as part of a whole coherent concept:
1. Centrale Pizza Bar 2022 Naming and logo (Needed instant recognition hence the proportion of a C that is overused which makes it familiar while in combination with the squarish letters of Milan Modernism origin still keeps it original and memorable)
2. Serafim 2023, bar Naming and visual identity (is an angel, the closest to God. No link whatsoever to the coffe bar and the disruption makes it memorable. The logo is a tribute to Italian brands from the 50’s)
3. Atelier Mecanic 2010 Naming and Visual identity (Mechanical Workshop. Bar. Typical Socialist symbol to go with the theme of the bar.)
4. P+1 2024 Naming and logo. (Means Grounfloor + 1st floor as it was a main concern to make people visit 1st floor
5. BRICI 2016. (brici means razor in Romanian but also sharp/cool/great/perfect, for a barber shop). Naming and Visual Identity
6. Bar Bar 2025 (Bar is a bar. Bar-bar means the real BAR but also Barbarian, for some epic parties. The somehow gothic script is because its location in the basement of an old palace/mansion)
7. BUN 2025 Naming and logo (Restaurant. Bun means “good”. Letters are extremely fat and solid with only little bites missing out, as from a delicious meal)
8. Sera Eden 2020 Naming and logo (Letters are in the shape of the iconic greenhouse building)
9. Zambotti 2022 Naming and logo (Cone gelato brand) Needed instant recognition as a classic Italian brand.
10. Hare 2020 Naming and logo (restaurant in a park. Means rabbit in Japanese. Rabits are social animals)
11. Paine si Vin 2016. Logo. A somehow humorous take on the Bread and wine being the substances of the Holy communion. Incidentally, the symbol of the Philocalia is also a P and a V and the combination is also in the shape of a wine glass.
12. Eden (the underground club had a memorable cylindrical vaulted low ceiling and it was always crowded, so same were the letters in the logo)
13. La Gloire (premium real estate developer)
14. Refresh (juice bar)
15. Sardin Italian restaurant
16 Salon Golescu

The BAR at PANORAMIC. @restaurantpanoramic.brasov
In what used to be the boiler room, the triangular concrete beams are visually overwhelming and the lower part underneath almost unusable. Instead of trying to mask we chose instead to glorify them as elements of strength of brutalist inspiration. Most of the other design components are subordinated and come from the same family of shapes, inspired by the triangle generated by structural efforts. The custom designed bar stools, wainscot volumetric pattern, sculptural anthropomorphic lamps, table bases are made in the trapezoid shape of the beams. The overall proportions and materials convey an alpine feel, as expected on the mountain, balanced with cocktail bar elegance through the use of the delicate FF chair and marble table tops and floor.

At PANORAMIC @restaurantpanoramic.brasov our quest for reviving the “genius loci” aims for reinvention rather than preservation:
Remodelling/ structural reinforcement/ interior design of the PANORAMIC cable car station, restaurant, bar, ballroom, hotel rooms.
The re-opening marks the 50 years anniversay of the construction. Most times, due to an uncomfortable relationship with the past, these buildings are not classified, preserved nor loved, as we think they should be.
Major mandatory structural works made impossible any attempt at restauration but we chose to stay consistent to the 60’s-70’ ethos and original project, from finishing textures to patterns, colors, lighting fixtures and furniture by slightly updating the original austere ones to more colorfull and lavish.
The new wainscot is in the same proportion of planks as the original one but in light oak instead of stained pine, the flooor is in marble, as the original, but more colorful and playful.
While studying the archive drawings we found out parts of the initial project were not done at the time (1975) most likely due to economical reasons such as the stone masonry cladding of the base of the building or linear textures of the tower. We chose to implement them as in the initial project. Original signs on the building were restored. Many thanks to our client and our amazing collaborators and construction team.

Before it was cool, it was chaos. Fifteen years later, the sound is still at the core of who we are.

BUN @bun_restaurant is located in the the Bratianu Residence, a sumptuos mansion built in 1896, disused for most of the last 25 years. Exterior and interior were in an advanced state of neglect.
There are lots of opinions and approaches in restauration, from keeping as found whith minimal protection to bringing everything back to its orginal state, to inventing parts that never existed, to insert contrasting contemporary elements, etc.
We used a different approach for each element, depending on its condition, on how relevant the present state is, relevance for history as well as how appropriate for the new function
We belive in an adaptive re-use as opposed to museification.
Restauration works begun with cleaning up to the original finishings and colors subsequently deciding the level of restauration for each element, always leaving witnesses of the original layers.
Ceilings were cleaned but we decided to keep them unrepaired, as a witness of history through the watercolors layering.
Walls were partially painted in one of the the original colors.
After stripping the thick layers of paint from the doors some proved in need of capital repairs and were subsequently painted while on others the bare wood was too beautiful to be painted back, same with walls and wainscot. The parquet couldn’t be rescued and was replaced with an identical one in same grain, dimensions and pattern.
There were no restrooms on the floor so we sacrificed a grand room for them as space is the ultimate luxury.
We kept the fluorescent pendants and other reliques form the 60’s. Maybe this is why the custom designed armchairs and tables also have a 60’s feel.
We only used tones of beige, wood and leather, as a sepia-toned period picture with the exception of the complementary two tones blue ceramics of the table tops, same color as the original ceramics on the facade.
The winter garden iron work is painted same color as the neighboring “SERA EDEN” greenhouse, close to the original olive green found under four layers of paint.
