Squeezed in a late night stairmaster of a hike up to Diamond and South Diamond peaks on my way home from a shoot in Vail last month. Summited just in time for the clouds to part, had a rare windless night beneath the Milkyway, and caught a few hours of sleep beneath the stars before enjoying a sunrise descent amidst the wildflowers. Grade-A summer night.

Today’s the day we get to celebrate the love and joy you bring to all of us in your life. Happy birthday to the greatest mom and the very best partner I could ask for in this adventure we call life. Here’s to lots of learning, all the sunsets, and as much laughter as we can fit in the year ahead. I love you babe!
Grateful for all the time in the wild, hoots and hollers, new lessons, and love the world has provided me this year. Some how, some way, life continues to deliver the magic.
My cup is full from all the quality time with family and friends this year…every visit and catch up has been a contribution to the growth and joy this last lap has provided. If I got to spend time with you, know that it meant the world to me. If we missed one another, know that the older, more refined me is eager to catch up soon.
Eager to keep exploring this life and all its wonders with a full heart and lots of love.
Passing storm at the dying of the day, where even in retreat, the light lends parting words to get us through the night.
Rays of hope, or darkness creeping in. Ours will always be a world where both take turns, walking side by side across this land.
Hopeful for these clouds to part and the light to pour on in.
