Out in the field and working side by side with customers, Britt Beene serves as a crop protection territory manager.
He focuses on building strong relationships and supporting customer operations, which is what he enjoys most about the job.
His favorite time of year is harvest, when farmers wrap up the season and you can see the results of all the work that went into it.
Britt’s interest in agriculture started early, spending time on his family’s farm and learning agronomy. Years later, he still enjoys that there is always something new to learn.

More flexibility in the tank means more control in the field.
Kyro™ herbicide can be tank-mixed with products like glyphosate, atrazine and more to help customize your weed control program and tackle tough grasses and broadleaves in one pass.
Built for strong postemergence control with residual to help keep fields clean longer. 🌱
#FarmerFriday spotlights growers moving agriculture forward and making an impact in their fields and communities.
From Faribault County, Minnesota, James Pieper farms corn, soybeans and sweet corn for a local canning factory.
A skip-generation farmer, James grew up in town but got his start right after college when his grandmother gave him the opportunity to lease the family’s legacy farm. With help from supportive neighbors and friends early on, the operation has grown steadily and is now heading into its fifth growing season.
This season, James says one of the biggest focuses is profitability, making thoughtful decisions across the operation to help every acre perform.
Farming has taught him to focus on what he can control. Instead of worrying about weather, breakdowns or markets, he puts his energy into improving the decisions he can make each season. @allaboutfarming
