“The powerhouse and dynamic performance artist shared stages with Flo Milli and is a back-to-back Brooklyn Poetry Slam Champion. Her music is reflective, vast and experimental in nature. Move Through, her debut single, was accompanied by a self-directed and edited film and followed by (micro) album: Fever Dream Insomniac.
Jasmin has performed around the country and at spaces like BRIC, The Andy Warhol Museum, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, August Wilson Center, and Carnegie Museum of Art. She’s also a former Kelly Strayhorn Theater artist-in-residence.”

Let’s dig in. I’ll go first. My name’s Corrine. I’m an artist whose work has been celebrated from Pittsburgh to Germany.
Very much so true, not particularly new to this, but perhaps new to you. Here’s some quick bites on where I’ve been and where I’m going.
VISIBLE 001! 🌟 CALLING ALL CHALANTS!

My name’s Corrine. I’m an artist. I’m a multidisciplinary. 2026 is a year where I’m actively challenging myself to be more visible. This journey started in the spring of 2025 when I set out with the intention to open my world up more and engage with in person and online community in fresh ways after slowly transitioning out of an intense four year grief period. It’s presented challenges that have felt insurmountable. There’s also been a lot of sunshine, but I’m still very much so on the journey.
We’re early in this year and I want to embark on a path of being intentionally visible and continuing to show up. Even when it feels scary. Even when it feels vulnerable. Even when I feel like hiding. Even when it feels repetitive. Even if it isn’t perfect.
I refuse to continue to stand in my own way. Typically, when I’m tired of my own shit, real and true transformation happens. I’m channeling the Fire Horse and investing in my motion and growth. Grief and trauma often trigger strong feelings of wanting to hide or be invisible. I’ve leaned into that. Now, I’m continuing to face those feelings head on until we’ve completely parted ways. I want to take you with me on that journey.
Before I do, there’s some housekeeping rules. All said with sugar and spice.
I’m performing, but lemme chat to you real quick about something more expansive than that.
Summer 2k25 we started a series called Velvet World: IRL 🪩✨ with a goal to add something to the music community *with intention* that’s truly about connecting and uplifting, not competition or rat racing.
Bringing artists, musicians and music lovers together is the goal. Helping you discover your new favorite artist is the goal.
If not new to you, new to someone else.
Facilitating you leaving the function with a new friend, experience or something tangible is the goal.
We’ve been having mad fun! While all are welcome to perform, play AND attend an IRL show, it’s important to us that there are no bills carrying out the same outdated, boring and limiting patterns. Patterns where we’re constantly deprioritized, disregarded, ignored, considered as an afterthought or not let in at all. This doubles down for women and non binary artists.
Our commitment remains the same.
There’s way too much genuine talent that truly deserves the spotlight. More than once at that. We want to craft lineups with real flair, making sure Blk + POC artists aren’t getting left off the stage either or added as an afterthought.
Which in certain indie, alternative, electronic, experimental and/or underground spaces – we frequently aren’t prioritized. That’s not very 2026, and we’re on 2026 time. We’re putting the babes and girls and the boys on the stage.
The door’s open! Come be a part of the fun we’ve been having, in real life. Let’s go offline together 💌

Lyrics from my project I put out this year ⛓️💥
My fave lyrics are from essence, mirror,
mirror, enough and when you’re sober?
What are yours? 🔮
Btw, enough was what ya’ll listened to the most. Fitting, if you think about it because they’re apocalyptic bars for those paying attention 🙂↕️
Side bar: Thank you for all the ears. Grateful 4 you. Thanks to those continuing to tap in today. It’s been a super solid year for music IRL and online. Trying to keep that going.
