Working across new media, performance, film, and installation, Chelly Jin presents CHOREOCODEX v5.1.0, a 5-channel immersive video installation investigating the choreographies of labor embedded in computation. Through web socket protocols, video files and webcams are cued in real-time, animating as a procedurally generated film. This work draws on the history of women in computing and software’s ontology, while exploring future imaginaries of data infrastructure as an embodied practice.

CORPTECH ARTIST PREVIEW 2/5: LAST CALL FOR THE REDDING DISTRICT by Sagan Yee (@sagan.yee )
A videogame about sex, death, and coming home. Play a version of the artist as a young salmon as they return to the pheromone-saturated suburbs of their hometown for spawning season. Drawing on the artist’s background as a queer trans animator and storyteller, the game explores speculative sexualities and anadromous modes of being through multiple lenses: mermaid biology, dating sims, hookup culture, high school reunion movies, and the fraught intimacies of a familiar, yet alien world.
* Anadromous: To migrate from a freshwater river to the ocean, then back again for breeding purposes.
* Redd: Gravel beds formed by female salmon in which to lay their eggs.
