Introducing something we hope will become a new tradition, the Riverlight Lantern Walk.
We will walk together by lantern light, making our way around the pond to the gazebo at Riverlight Park. This peaceful walk is meant to carry us into the season with hope, gratitude, and unity, together.
At the gazebo, we will share a moment and write a wish on a star.
Each star will be hung from the ceiling of the Icehouse and displayed throughout the holiday season as a constellation of our communityâs wishes, hopes, and blessings.
When you wish upon a star, your light becomes part of the season. For this event, Cornwall-on-Hudson residents are invited to gather in the Cornwall Public Library parking lot, and Town of Cornwall residents are invited to gather in the Town Hall parking lot.
The manger will be in the Icehouse this year, however it will not be on display during this event.
We are also working on a Giving Tree that will be displayed in the Icehouse throughout the season. More details to come.
Lantern Distribution:
Sunday, November 16, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Munger Cottage
Limit two per family.
If you already have a lantern you love, we encourage you to bring it.
Candles will also be available the evening of the event.
The evening will end with the lighting of Riverlight Park as a symbol of our shared hope and the light we bring to one another.
Event Date: Sunday, November 23
Meeting Time: 5:30 PM

Thank you, Cornwall. You really outdid yourselves with your generosity for the Cornwall Cares West Point Food and Pantry Drive. While military personnel are currently paid, government employees are not. This includes West Point school staff, hospital staff, support staff, and Title 10 employees. Even our contact at West Point who helped coordinate this drive is working unpaid right now. Your contributions matter. They will go a long way in supporting families who are carrying a heavier load than usual. Thank you for stepping up for our neighbors. May the good work continue. đЎ

⨠Last night @icehousecornwall was something special. After a tough week, I witnessed pure magic â brothers and sisters lifting each other up, kids painting hearts and excitedly chatting about their Halloween costumes. â¤ď¸
Cornwall, you continue to remind me what true community looks like. Huge love to @eliza7654 for creating such a beautiful space. The energy, the love, the light â unforgettable. đ
