Stithians is back!
We have missed not having Stithians on our cheese boards (or staff room table!) at the dairy, so we were really excited when we graded the next batch and decided it was ready!
During the summer in 2024, we trialled making Stithians in larger 4kg truckles. The difference? A much higher quality cheese that retained more moisture, meaning we could mature the cheese for longer to achieve a rich, buttery flavour profile.
Shavings on a fresh baguette with a drizzle of honey…that’s how we’re enjoying our first taste!
Big news! Lynher Dairy is now B Corp Certified™️!
We are delighted to join the global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance. This milestone is huge for us - and it builds on our 2024 King’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development. It’s been two years of hard work, learning, and growing, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come.
The B Corp certification challenged us to look at everything - from how we source our products and use resources, to how we support our team and engage with the community. It’s been a process of turning our values into everyday actions, and it is fantastic to see our records recognised in such a meaningful way.
Here are just a few key highlights across the B Corp pillars that we’re most proud of:
📄 We have updated our Articles of Association to make sure we are considering all our stakeholders in decision making.
💼 We are a Real Living Wage employer, offering flexible working, extensive benefits, and career development opportunities.
👥 We are sourcing locally, collaborating with local businesses and in 2024 we dedicated 100 hours to volunteering and remained deeply involved in our community outreach.
⚡️We have increased our use of renewable energy and ramping up our carbon reporting.
🧀 We have established comprehensive quality and assurance systems to make sure we’re delivering the best product to our customers.
Certifying as a B Corp is not the destination. It is a commitment to continuous improvement, and we’re excited to continue creating meaningful change that champions artisan cheesemaking, creates community, and celebrates people and Cornwall.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support - we couldn’t have done it without you!

Our famous Nettled Yarg cheese, is crafted in Cornwall exclusively from locally sourced cow's milk. This semi-hard cheese is adorned with nettle leaves, imparting an earthy essence with its supple texture and slight crumble. The buttery and creamy flavours harmonise beautifully with the subtle herbaceous notes.

Same hands. Same motion. This is a rhythm we never get tired of.
Nettling and turning requires skilled hands and time. This consistency is what makes Yarg so special. No shortcuts, no rushing it. The end result speaks for itself.
Cornish Yarg and and Quince paste have made this month's pairing.
Delicate and understated, the quince cuts through Yarg's milky, creamy flavours. Not overpowering the cheese on flavour, it's sweet stickiness also complements the crumbly texture of Yarg.
Give it a try!
We are in the full spirit of nettle picking and they're coming in thick and fast! Here are some whoppers one of our pickers found!
Can you find one bigger?
We are starting our cheese of the month series with a wine pairing for Cornish Yarg.
A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Vermentino grapes delivers a profile of pear and peach, which we think marries nicely with the fresh lactic creaminess of Yarg.

Just a heads up about our shop opening hours in May. We will be closed on both bank holiday Mondays to give our team a well deserved rest. There is, however, plenty of time to grab yourselves some cheese in time for the long weekend.
There’s something about a long weekend that invites us to slow down a little. No rush, no agenda, just a table with a few good things and time to enjoy them.
A wedge of cheese, a loaf of bread, something fresh on the side. Nothing complicated, just the kind of spread that asks you to pause, pass a plate and stay a while.
This bank holiday, keep it slow. Keep it generous. Pull up a chair.
