Here at TCBC, we provide a unified and simplified solutions model with housing programs and a variety of related services under one roof with a comprehensive network of human services partners. In 2023, we also opened a 24-hour Emergency Men's Shelter in Vanport, PA. 🏠 The 2026 Housing First Partners Conference is over, and our Executive Director, Marie Timpano, and our Deputy Director, Ashley McLaughlin, are heading back with some new connections, insights, and inspiration. For perspective on the size and impact of the issue of homelessness and the need for a conference like this, there were 1,200 attendees representing 43 states and 6 countries...all facing some of the same challenges we're facing here, locally. We're grateful that TCBC could be represented among them. The conference reaffirmed "Housing First as an approach to end homelessness by pairing immediate access to housing with voluntary, ongoing services that support stability, safety, and well-being. Our Executive Director Marie Timpano and our Deputy Director Ashley McLaughlin are attending this week's Housing First Partners Conference. 🏠 Day 1 is going great so far and they were excited to meet the ladies in the second photo - Ann Oliva, CEO of the National Alliance to end Homelessness - one of the foremost experts on homelessness in the nation; and Tomiquia Moss - Secretary of the Business Consumer Services and Housing Agency for the State of California. The 3-day conference brings together practitioners, researchers, policymakers, advocates, and people with lived experience, and centers on evidence-based responses to homelessness that start with housing and are paired with voluntary, ongoing support services. We're looking forward to all of the information, connections, insights, and collaborative opportunities they will bring back for our community.
