We hosted our annual team banquet this past weekend. It was great honoring the fantastic young men that led this group to 14-4-2 record and the first Ivy League Tournament Win and back to back years in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament - Below are the winners of the annual legacy awards!
The Clive Beckford MVP Award - Ryan Friedberg, Sr. GK
“Presented to that soccer player who in the opinion of his teammates typifies the outstanding ability, spirit and determination that made Clive Beckford so dear to us all”
The Nicholas “Nicky” Bawlf Award - Wes Carnevale, Sr. Midfielder
Given to the Cornell Senior who most contributed to Men’s soccer during their career. This award is given in memory of Nicholas “Nicky” Bawlf, who coached Cornell soccer from 1920–1946.
Charlie Berman ’49 Memorial Trophy - Adam Schaban, Jr. Midfielder
Given annually to the Most Improved soccer player. This award is given in honor of Charles Berman ’49 who played soccer for Cornell in the years after WWII (1946-47 through 1948-49).
The John Penniman Award - Bennett Wehibe, So. Defender
Given in honor of John Penniman ‘69, this award honors a person who displays both excellence in personal discipline and character as an individual.
The Peter Pakeman VIP Award - Ryan Friedberg, Sr. GK
The player who best exemplifies versatility, impact and performance.
The Players’ Player of the Year - Andrew Johnson, Sr. Defender
At our Annual Jersey Day Soccer Tennis Tournament, concluding the 2025-2026 season, Team Lettuce came out on top! A great season but work to be done. Offseason starts today to prep for a great Fall campaign! See you at Berman Field later this year!
Congrats to our Assistsnt Coach LaMarr Peters for completing his undergrad from Oakland University! LaMarr will walk at graduation this weekend, 30 years after finishing his career. True show of perseverance.
