/ EDIT Naples – a vibrant city full of contrasts, encounters, and stories. At this year’s @edit.napoli , our Pouf Chracter Tilda was presented as part of the group exhibition @corizom – a wonderful setting to connect and exchange with so many curious minds. In the spirit of the anniversary collection “Point of Contact”, of which Tilda is a part, EDIT Napoli became a place of exchange, togetherness, and living connections. A heartfelt thank you to @edit.napoli for the warm hosting – and to all visitors who stopped, asked, wondered, and shared. Your curiosity and inspiring conversations bring Tilda to life. Grateful to all who took part and brought this to life: @corizom @fraucaze @sa.ra.bologna @darja.malesic @_lucagruber_ @georgfoster @raduabraham @printz.designs Video by @printz.designs #editnapoli2025 #designfair #textiledesign #fairtradeproducts #wool #nepalproducts #sustainabledesign #materialnarratives #exhibitiondesign #designexhibition #contemporarydesign #crafts #designart #designcommunity #naples #designculture

Continuing my journey of meeting European artisans who keep craft alive in their own unique ways, I found Beiuș to be one of those places that instantly stays with you. The wide, curved hills, open skies, and people with a warm and steady “I can do it” attitude make it truly special. That’s where I met Vasilica Isăcescu, a craftsman with an open heart and a rare blend of curiosity and discipline. His collaboration with Corizom on the Little Monsters project is a great example of how tradition and imagination can meet halfway. What struck me most wasn’t just his work, but the way he talked about it. His simple, direct style and the calm confidence of someone who’s been creating for years were truly impressive. Between stories about the area, his workshop, and his passion for taxidermy, I realised once again how craftsmanship is as much about people as it is about materials. Each encounter like this adds another layer to my ongoing journey of documenting artisans across Europe. These people remind me that creativity often grows quietly, shaped by patience and presence.

Co/Fab - Exhibition at @edit.napoli 9 - 11 October, La Santissima, Napoli Einstein Candelabra - @_lucagruber_ x @vantreeck.glass In this collaborative work, Luca Gruber and Van Treeck engage with geometry, craft, and material memory to create a candelabra that operates between structure and atmosphere. Composed of brass and coloured glass tiles, the piece takes its formal logic from the Einstein tile — a recently discovered aperiodic monotile that tessellates without repetition. The tile’s refusal of regular patterning serves as a quiet conceptual anchor, framing a study in material presence and asymmetry. Rather than mimic historical motifs, the glass here evokes a similar sense of filtered time — a quality made possible through Van Treeck’s continued refinement of artisanal techniques. Together, the materials offer a dialogue between permanence and ephemerality — between the solidity of metal and the shifting luminosity of coloured glass.

Super happy about the Corn Husk Weaving WORKSKOP by @darja.malesic part of the Distributed Design Conference @distributeddesign VIENNA DESIGN WEEK 2024 Headquarters It was a hands-on workshop to create corn husk woven rug. The corn husk rug is a simple example of a circular economy, where waste (corn husk) is the basic raw material for a product and it can be composted when the life cycle of the product is completed. The material used is 100% natural, and in the case of corn leaves, a by-product of a cash crop. The aim is to transfer knowledge and preserve traditional craft techniques and at the same time offer sustainable product.
