Over the last year I’ve been dabbling in a little different subject matter. Here is some work from a project titled “Six Star” a riff off of GTA and a commentary on the glorification of violence and hedonism promoted by the game. Directed by Todd Wiseman Jr. and built by and an incredible team of hardworking creatives.
Come to the @compoundboardshop Christmas party and have an existential conversation with me or we can just to talk about how dry it’s been lately. I don’t care either way.
Also, you could buy a print from me or not. Again, totally up to you. Link in profile.
The death of an archetype. The amount of impact someone you hardly knew can have on the course of your life is pretty wild. Flip was the collision of reality and romanticism. Style and grace mixed with grit and know-how. In many ways it is because of Flip I became a photographer, a flyfisherman, why I love Florida, why I work in the fishing industry, the list of his impacts goes on. Whether we knew him personally or not he was a teacher and he taught all of us. I’m sure the man had his flaws but he represented what we should all strive for and that is to unabashedly walk our own narrow path inspiring others to do the same along the way. RIP Flip @flippallot
