It's with deep sadness, yet full hearts, that we bid farewell to our beloved tiny friend. In a poignant twist of fate, Trixie left us on my mom's birthday - the person who entrusted us with Trixie's vibrant spirit. She transformed our lives in countless ways, and though it's almost unbearable to imagine life without her, we're eternally grateful for the brief time she was ours. ❤️🐾
My mom once said that no matter how old you are, when you lose both your parents, you feel like an orphan. At 44, the feeling is real.

One moment of letting down our guard to make needed house repairs resulted in positive test results for my dad and I. As we emerge from isolation, I am so thankful that our physical sickness, while rough, was mild compared to the millions of people around the world who have suffered and lost. But even a mild case forced my 85yo dad into the hospital for 6 days and has caused continued diminished mental capacity which the doctors are not sure will ever be reversed. Thank you to everyone from family to friends to our healthcare heros who have been instrumental in helping us through it all.
