COREN, NIAE Engage Agriculture Minister on Agro-Allied Regulation The President of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Engr. Prof. Sadiq Zubair Abubakar, FNSE, FAEng, alongside the Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers (NIAE), Engr. Prof. Joshua O. Olaoye, FNSE, led a formal visit to the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, CON, Friday, 17 April 2026, at his office in Abuja. Central to the discussion was the growing concern over the uncontrolled importation of agricultural machinery, including tractors and motorized farm tools, without proper testing, certification, or maintenance frameworks. The delegation highlighted the risks this poses to safety, efficiency, and national food security.
