Different ways to use cable machine for glutes.
- Step overs target the glute max & med
- 45 degree angle (straight back for glute max)
- Adduction targets the side/outer glutes
- Donkey Kick back (leaning over helps target full glute max, med & min)
All of these are different variations that target different part of the glutes but you definitely don’t need all 4 for glute gains. Some kill 2 birds with one stone. I’ve been switching between these 4 to regulate.

Update: I’m just filled with major turns every week 🤣 I feel a lot better than I did last week thank God! I’m fully recovered. I was giving myself some grace being that I came down with the flu which really sat me down. Now that I’m better I’m resuming the last leg of this 21 day fast. I haven’t been in the gym but believe me once next Wednesday gets here I’ll be back in FULL action. I’ve been doing my sauna sessions twice a week and staying faithful in my prayers/devotions. I’m just so happy to not be sick! I never took health for granted & I surely won’t moving forward.
I’m in the middle of figuring out my new diet for when I get off the fast and it’s looking like less sodium/processed foods. I always mainly ate Whole Foods when I cook but it’s wayyy too easy sometimes to get caught up and not find the time to make a meal. I’m remembering to extend grace to myself when things get difficult the same way God extends grace to us all. I’m determined to finish strong because I did not come this far just to come this far! God is good.

MAJOR UPDATE: It’s Friday and it’s the end of the first week of my prayer and fasting period. My strength does NOT come from my muscle gain it truly comes from the LORD! I decided to also fast from working out to hear God clearly. Working out for me was an idol all of 2024 and I don’t want to repeat the same mistake in 2025. I developed FOMO and felt that if I missed a day of training I would lose my gains. 🤦🏽♀️ I realize that every time I start working out too hard my body begins to fail me. I’ve been implementing changes but this particular period has taken a turn & I’m obeying God by resting the intense workouts. This is my season to BE STILL and know that He is God (Psalms 46:10) especially, if I’m believing in him for a FULL RECOVERY.
Yesterday I was reminded that the body can’t go where the spirit will go in the end. I am working harder to tame my flesh so that the spirit will increase. What God has for me is much greater than any muscle gain 🙌🏾 Lately, I’ve been steadfast in my prayers and opening the word of God daily. I’m so proud because that’s not something I was doing before.
At first I only wanted to consume fruits or fruit juices for the full 21 days but my body and church family has let me know it’s okay to fast for half the day while staying faithful in prayer & actively seeking God 🥹 That’s when I said “THANK THE LORD” because only He knew how I felt 😂 I’ll still be checking in at least once a week & posting old workouts but once I return I’ll be stronger mind, body & spirit. I just wanted to share my experience. If the lord is calling you into a fast this year don’t walk, run!
P.S the 3rd slide is the herbal tea I’m drinking for my gut cleanse! Consisting of hyssop, star anise, and fennel seeds 🫱🏾🫲🏼

Today is day 1 of my 21 day fast and I decided to mainly consume fruit juices & fruits. I’m still figuring out my workout split. My rotator cuff is feeling better but still healing so ofc less overhead movements & upper body days unfortunately🥹
It’s looking like leg day 2/3 days a week depending on my energy levels. Today is Monday so I completed my normal leg day routine 💪🏾 I’ve been so careful lately to not make working out an idol because some days I’m so energized & looking forward to my workout first thing in the morning that I forget to pray which is NO BUENO.
