The Spanish sun was shining outside at the @compressport Team Camp. But inside @syncrosfera , we teamed up with the world’s best trail runners to create our own heat and dive into the data 🥵   Using CORE sensors, we worked with the athletes to help them understand their own individual thermal profiles, and how best to optimize them for the heat of summer racing. #TrainHotRaceCool

Next time you toe the start line, you may want to consider drinking an ice slushie 🧊 In an independent study using CORE Sensors, pre-cooling resulted in a 1.3-1.8 minute decrease in runners’ 5km time compared to no pre-cooling. #CoolerIsFaster

“I felt like a robot covered in sensors, but I loved it.” Ahead of La Vuelta Femenina’s final weekend of climbing, Barbara took part in real-world testing with CORE to fine-tune performance. From repeated climbs to changing temperatures, every detail was measured, because at the highest heights, like L’Angliru, small gains make the biggest difference. Heat Champion @alexbeachi left nothing on the table toeing the Boston Marathon start line with a 100% Heat Adaptation Score.    Doing long-term heat training year-round like Alex can induce physiological adaptions that improve your performance even in cool race conditions.    Congrats, Alex! #TrainHotRaceCool

82% Heat Adapted at the start line means increased plasma volume, increased sweat rate, and a lower heart rate at high core temps.    Congrats to @Caro_pohle on taking first at @challengeGranCanaria last weekend after a textbook heat prep block. #TrainHotRaceCool   Images: Julian Wüst @julianwstt

BMI’s influence on heat adaptation is yet another reason why monitoring the individual, and not the environment, is so crucial. Findings like this are the reason why the CORE R&D team is currently focused on how to bring greater individualization into future iterations of CORE products. Learn more at the link in bio.
