Becoming the number 1 east coast guy and even beating @deweywebersurf 3 time. Twice on the east coast and once on the west. In his own words. "Proving the east coast to be a dominate force"
Around 1966 thought the beginning of the shortboard revolution. His @hobiesurfboards
Model was the most sold and he was the hight paid surfer of one time.
Never stopped surfing but moved in to the world of promotions. Bringing us most famously #theteenagemutantninjaturtles and guys like @official_carrot_top and Gallagher.
When i met him he was still on the road promoting and would stop by the shop whenever in town. Always with ideas and ways to help bring Core Surf up. His art that would come as gifts became t-shirts
