What do we do with the moments we can’t explain? Candidly, I grew up not having faith that was big enough to believe in miracles like what I saw in my own life almost a decade ago. I battled panic attacks for a large portion of my life and genuinely expected it to be part of my story for as long as I walked the earth. I don’t know why God chooses to heal some and not others but I will tell you that my faith sky rocketed that spring night.
I was at a church service where the pastor, who also dealt with anxiety and panic attacks, had set up a night to talk about and pray for healing of those walking that same mental health journey. I was hesitant to even attend and truthfully sat through the majority of it thinking, “I’ve heard this before”. Then it all shifted. As he closed the night he started into a prayer for healing. He began so by casually saying that some would be healed and some would not but that no matter the outcome of the prayer, God would use it in our testimony. As soon as he started the prayer I felt a presence on my chest like I’ve never felt before. When he said amen, I fell back into my chair and began to ugly cry for 20 or so minutes. That night, 19 years of consistent panic attacks went away in an instant.
I wrote this verse to our song, “Pour Your Spirit Out” as a personal journal entry. Never did I intend for it to make its way into one of our songs. But that’s how God uses moments of obedience. I have seen stories of healings and transformations like I never thought possible as a result of sharing this song and my story. The Bible tells us in Revelation 12:11 that, “...we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.” My testimony is Jesus and His blood has healing power.

2026 here we go. One thing I’ve learned this past year is that obedience is sometimes sharing your heart even when fear says don’t.
There’s been a stirring in me to share some music that is new and about life. Life is full of stories about the people we love, the things we walk through and most importantly our faith in Jesus.
Music has had a profound impact on my life, and I’ve seen the impact sharing my story through song can make.
This coming year, I’m leaning into that. I have no release plans, no strategy - just some songs I’d love to share. I hope my journal entries resonate with you like they’ve resonated with me.
I wrote this song for my daughters to remind them of who they are and how their Heavenly Father sees them. Happy new year.
