As we start the final week of performances, I don’t have the videos or pictures to do justice to the amount of work that has been put into @lovestuckmusical by an army of brilliant people (but I’ve attempted to make this edit, if only to help with my terrible memory.) Musicals are the most collaborative artform and I’ll never have the words to thank everyone for bringing this show to life in ways I couldn’t have dreamt of ❤️ It’s been the maddest, funniest, most stressful, challenging, chaotic, exhilarating thing I’ve ever done and I hope this is just the start of a long journey for the show. I realise this is just a poster but it’s got me misty eyed. Not because I love Photoshop but because it represents the culmination of 7 years of work by a lot of brilliant people.
When I first had the idea for @lovestuckmusical , the concept of premiering it at a theatre like @stratfordeast was in my wildest dreams. Add to that this incredible cast? I’m swooning. This talented creative team? I’ve fainted. And crafting it with some of my closest friends?! I’m fully dead.
Huge thanks to all those who offered advice, support, contacts, encouragement and notes along the way. We couldn’t have reached this point without you. Rehearsals start in a few weeks!! We just need to figure out how to put someone upside down in a window now. Thankfully, that’s director @uncleegor ’s job and not mine.
