PSALM 124
1 If it had not been the Lord who was on my side, now I, Oluyinka will say;
2 If it had not been the Lord who was on my side, when men rose up against me:
3 Then they had swallowed me up quick, when their wrath was kindled against me:
4 Then the waters had overwhelmed me, the stream had gone over my soul:
5 Then the proud waters had gone over my soul.
6 Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given me as a prey to their teeth.
7 My soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and I am escaped.
8 My help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great amen, God's Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident.
God affirms us, making us a sure thing in Christ, putting his Yes within us. By his spirit he has stamped us with his eternal pledge - a sure beginning of what he is destined to complete.
