Weeks posts
The last few weeks we did something different. Instead of chasing more projects, we studied every client we have worked with over the past three years. Budgets. Problems. Pressure. Results. Clear patterns showed up. The best partnerships were never random. They were organizations at important moments that needed to communicate something important and needed it done right. So we rebuilt everything around that. New website. Stronger portfolio. Clear customer profile. Real outbound system. Now everything feels aligned. The right clients feel it. The right partners feel it. The right team members feel it. We are not chasing projects anymore. We are building something bigger.

I’ve been involved in production for 15 years and spent the first half of it in the music industry. It’s been 11 years since the last time I produced a music video, and I couldn’t ask for a cooler way to show back up than making something dope for a friend with friends. Shout out to my good friend @zachsmithog for reaching out and trusting us to produce something great. Shout out to the entire incredibly gifted team that worked all day to help bring this to life. God blesses us with gifts, and then uses us to help others & this is one of those moments. ✌🏽 @thejoycollectivemedia

3 years ago when I started this journey I would have loved to have had access to some of the equipment we’re able to use now. For that reason we’ve launched our gear rental site. We’ve got $40k + in gear that’s accessible and available for most of your budgets. Follow along as we continue to build this out and add more to the collection. DM, email, text or whatever floats your boat if you have any questions! Link in bio 🤌🏽 [ Birmingham video production Alabama cinema gear lens camera rental ]

Great opportunities don’t usually happen by accident. In this clip, Colin Odle talks about how consistent effort, strong relationships, and a commitment to doing great work over time can lead to the kind of inbound opportunities every production company hopes for. What may look like “luck” is often the result of years of intentional work. Link in bio for full conversation. Sponsored by: @amfirstcu Studio Space: @RiverLightStudios

Every great video project is different. But the process behind it should be consistent. In this clip, Colin Odle explains how The Joy Collective balances a repeatable production process with custom solutions for every client—making sure each project is built around the client’s goals while still benefiting from a refined workflow. That combination helps deliver better results, every time. Full conversation linked in bio. Sponsored by: @amfirstcu Studio Space: @RiverLightStudios

Great video projects don’t start with cameras. They start with discovery. In this clip, Colin Odle explains why the first conversation with a client isn’t about selling services — it’s about asking the right questions and understanding the real goals behind the project. When discovery is done well, the proposal becomes much clearer… and the final video becomes much more effective. Full conversation linked in bio.
