The LA culinary scene can sometimes be skewed towards restaurants in all the usual well known locations. But sitting in a little strip mall in Gardena (Angelenos might need to look that up) lies a truly outstanding Japanese Hand Roll Bar called @oh_banzai_ that serves up the most outstanding food and service, with sake tasting flights that certainly took me to heaven. The best part is it is open until midnight 7 days a week. Do make a reservation as this spot is hopping.

On the flight from Grand Central Market to Grand Avenue, for a showing of the new musical, Here Lies Loves, by David Byrne & Fat Boy Slim at the @marktaperforum with @perryanzilotti Followed by a nightcap at @colesfrenchdip widely considered the oldest continuously operating public house and restaurant in Los Angeles, opening in 1908 with the first French Dip sandwich.
