Control Studio’s rebrand gives cycling gear company Velor a new lease of life. The refreshed, instantly recognisable identity is centred around a strong, modern sans serif logotype. “By placing type at the heart of the identity, we stripped away the superfluous to let the message take centre stage, resulting in a brand presence that feels confident, timeless, and effortlessly adaptable across digital and physical touchpoints,” Founder & Creative Director Alexander Bajada tells us.
A key part of the rebrand was the introduction of the high-visibility patches on the apparel, which has become both a conceptual and visual cornerstone of the brand. “Inspired by the ethos of ‘Wearing our heart on our sleeve,’ (which is why you’ll see most of these patches on the outside sleeve of the garments) we reimagined what’s traditionally hidden such as material composition, sourcing, and production information and brought it to the forefront,” adds Bajada. “This honest design decision transforms each garment into a transparent, wearable manifesto.”
Elsewhere, the confident typography is accompanied by fluid gradient textures inspired by topographic maps, a nod to both “the physical terrain cyclists encounter and the metaphorical journeys they undertake.” They bring a sense of motion to the brand, adding richness and energy to the minimalist foundation. “The blend of neutral tones with vivid high-vis colours evokes both joy and vibrancy,” says Bajada, “a reminder of the simple happiness cycling brings.”

Eschewing the typical green-washed approach of its competitors, Control Studio’s rebrand for ‘veggipasta’ brand Wholy Greens is filled with unexpected colours and charming illustrated characters. The wordmark, inspired by vintage heroic logos, adds a dash of nostalgia while symbolising growth and empowerment. The project blends storytelling, education and visually striking design – culminating in a vibrant look that transforms mundane meal prep into an epic adventure.

Awesome to work with the team at @pepsimaxuk to create their Summer Merch for 2023 ☀️👕
This collection was inspired by the trending motocross fashion that was influenced by Rosalias latest album Motomami that is characterised by a bold and edgy style often featuring big logo placements, colour panelling & graphic prints.
The collection turned out brilliantly and was featured at Reading and Wireless festival 2023 in the UK.
Thanks to @dogoodfactory for producing this. It was great to work with a team that delivers ethical trade and sustainable products.
We will create a case study soon on our website, stay tuned 👀✌️

Amazing feature of the branding work we did for turntabl in the latest edition of @pagemag .
The section we are featured in talks about the importance of B2B branding and how to really stand out and make a difference in a saturated market.
Thanks Page Mag for the feature 🙌🫶
