Στόχος είναι μέσα σε ένα μάθημα να έχετε λάβει τα απαραίτητα εφόδια για να μπορείτε μελλοντικά μόνοι σας να απαθανατίζετε τον νυχτερινό ουρανό και να εξελίξετε τις δεξιότητες σας.
Τα μονοήμερα σεμινάρια θα πραγματοποιηθούν στην παραλία Μελανή Πηλίου και θα είναι ολιγομελή ώστε να έχετε την απαραίτητη προσοχή (5 ανά τάξη).

Southern Crete is known for its Bortle 1 skies which give us an unparalleled view of our Cosmos. Combined with the glory of Cretan’s splendid beaches that’s something to experience. We travel to Crete to capture the night sky under some of the best skies in Greece. The workshop will be run in both English and Greek.

After about 6 months of unbelievably crappy skies, a window opened. Not great, not terrible. We visited familiar grounds with @cap10pixel and we enjoyed the skies for 2 hours before high clouds kicked in. The airglow and a thin layer of humidity, made it difficult to fully exploit the Bortle3 skies.

The crappy weather made me look back at what I was doing around this time of year in the past. Almost three years ago, we visited one of the darkest locations in Chalkidiki. That night, the airglow was (surprise, surprise) incredible!
Pointing almost at the zenith of the Chilean sky, I captured the Milky Way’s core at its darkest position. But the airglow had other plans 😅 In this timelapse, you can see waves of airflow passing through, creating a soft, haze-like atmosphere.

Today I was browsing through my archive and came across this gem I captured 4 years ago! It was the first time I spent so much time capturing and processing an image. The total integration time was 5 hours, enough to reveal all the interstellar dust that “lives” in the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex.

A night for the book! Baltinache lakes are the pinnacle of the Chilean desert. This pano was the last photo I took from the salt lakes. Airglow was so crazy that I couldn’t even process the photo later. You can see the “waves” formed by the intense activity! Oh man, what a sight!
