I recently jumped on the @yourstorystudios Podcast with @njyoungh to talk about how I use platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook to attract clients, build relationships and grow a creative community around @constantinefilms .

3 years ago today, I decided to go all in on @constantinefilms . 🎬
Being completely honest, redundancy had a big part to play in that decision.
But I still needed the belief (and that of my family 🫶🏻) that I could build something doing what I love and make it work.
Year 1️⃣ was all about figuring things out… learning quickly, making mistakes, and building from the ground up.
Year 2️⃣, things started to click - better systems, stronger client relationships, and more consistency.
Now 3️⃣ years in…

What’s probably changed the most over the 3 years isn’t just the work - it’s the way I approach it.
Trying to do it all on your own only gets you so far. Building a solid community around you (like the legends in the MVF 🤙🏻) makes a massive difference.
Understanding that it’s less about the gear or making things look “impressive”… and more about being reliable, easy (and fun!) to work with, and actually helping clients get what they need.
Really appreciate everyone who’s trusted me with their content along the way - whether it’s been one project or ongoing work. 🙌🏻
Still plenty I want to improve and build on…
But yeah - 3 years in. Keen to see where the next one goes.
Does the size of your camera - or running a matte box - really matter? 🎥 🤔
Lately, I’ve stripped my filming rig back to the essentials, and it’s been a game changer:
✅ Less weight = better on the body (especially on long shoot days)
✅ Standardising ND filters across lenses for consistent colour and image
✅ A reminder that clients don’t care how “big” your setup looks
Clients care about results.
It’s easy to get caught up in gear, but simplicity often leads to better efficiency (and better work).
