The welt pocket design is based off an 80s Katharine Hamnett reference, where the pocket bag and welt fabrics interact to create a spilling effect. Tokio Kumagai would have been right up there with Issey, Rei (mid) and Yohji had he not passed at the young age of 40. His design language was a blend of Yohji and Issey… a bit more traditional mixed with quirky details.
